The "Gentlejazz" Function Bands, based in Cape Town, will solve all your problems with regard to music at your special function. These are various combinations of the same group of experienced musicians who work well together and have been together professionally for many years.

Just choose the combination that meets your special requirements - a duo or trio for non-intrusive background music for your wedding, special birthday or corporate function - or "Casablanca the Band" or "That Band" for lively dance and party music. The "Riverboat Jazz Band" - Cape Town's entertainment band, will get your feet tapping. All combinations play a wide variety of music to suit all tastes.

We will work closely with wedding and other function coordinators to ensure the success of your function.

We provide CD quality background music during breaks and can happily provide a microphone for the usual speeches when required.

Band members usually wear conservative semi-formal dress and the bandstand always has a neat and tidy appearance. The bands are always set up at least 30 minutes (usually more) prior to the start of the function.

Getting married? - For weddings out of UK, you can have the facility to pay in the UK for your function band if you wish. The world-famous winelands of Cape Town and Stellenbosch have many internationally well-known wine estates which, with their centuries old homesteads, are the ideal ultra-romantic venues for a really special wedding.
